Some things in life are never taken for granted and your job is one of them .Teaching has never been easy , but it has this magical secret that puts a smile on your face by the end of your day !
Yes we do face tough moments and put up with alot of sense and nonsense but if we believe in how sacred our job is and we truley love it , then this is our only ticket to just say " I am still standing !! "

This post reminded me of a text written by Gibran Kahlil Gibran and which I really like.
ReplyDeleteIt is about two oysters living in the sea; one of them was complaining about a pain that it was suffering from while the other was so satisfied with its painless body. After a while the pain of the first turned into a beautiful lovely pearl while the other oyster remained forever painless but forever fruitless.
And so are teachers, they often suffer and feel tired, challenged, tormented, upset and sometimes depressed, but all of these feelings are forgotten once the teacher feels that all this effort and pain yielded a human being who is special, distinguished and knowledgeable.
So, in teaching too, without pain, there is no gain.
Hopefully, you, as well as all the other good teachers will keep on standing still.
We always will, hopefully Lama :)
ReplyDeleteYES. We will always stand because when "we" stand, the whole society does, the whole nation does, the whole humanity does!
I am really happy with this post Lama. Many of the teachers I know don't actually believe in this, but I hope that soon they'll turn to be a minority, or even intruders!
great post ! teaching is indeed sacred ..it's the profession that teaches all other professions
