This course, Integrating Technology into Education, is as Miss Amal once
described it " a funny and stress free course ". I wanted to learn
more about the new technologies because I believe that it plays a very
essential role in promoting the learning process and motivating the learner to
learn with more enthusiasm.
We started by a general introduction for the course. I was amazed by the professionalism and punctuality of the instructor. She had designed a whole website related to the course so we can refer to anytime.
Then we started designing our own personal business card which was something new and fun for me to do.
We were introduced to telecollaborative communities. The idea is about sharing the learning experiences with other classrooms abroad, which was a total new thing for me. The community we joined was the
iearn and its link is: http://www.iearn.org/
Next we started working on our blogs. I heard my friends talking about it the last year, so I was curious to know about it. It needed hard work and lot of practice at home and on our own. We had to express our own educational, personal and free thoughts in a well ordered manner.
Along with the blog, we had to choose a study that we have conducted and bring it alive through a scientific poster. Same as other assignments, Mrs.Amal had prepared for us a bunch of useful websites that will guide us concerning the template of the poster and the do;s and dont's.
I choose my action research project under the title" peer tutoring of math".
A new assignment showed up, the web-quest It is about designing activities about a certain topic for the students to do on line. My partner and I choose to design a math web-quest We collected the data and worked in and out the class to get it done.
The last project is the one we are still working on now ....
